About Hotvac

The HotVac process was invented by Suffolk engineer and ship surveyor Terry Davey in 1995. Osmosis frequently featured in many of Terry's surveys and he was being continually asked for advice on how to treat it, what it was, and whether there was a quicker more effective way of curing it.

The technology was perfected and Hotvac Hull Cure was formed in June 2000 in order to bring the benefits of this process and this system to boat owners and boatyards around the world. it was during April 2003 that Hotvac Hull Cure was acquired by Gelplane International Ltd.

The feedback from more than sixty operators worldwide, added to the continuous research program, has made HotVac the standard hull repair method wherever it has been introduced.
